Camping Trip

We went camping with several families from our church. We had lots of fun are here are just some of the pictures!

The King’s River.

I took this when everyone except a few people, went on a “hike”.

This is Troy, taken from the bridge we “hiked” to.

Bodie, Tim, and David.

River again.

Bodie again.

Campfire smoke.

Fire, fire, fire!

This is his “Just woken up” face.

We went to this giant rock. Around 30 feet long. And it was about 8-10 feet off the water. Some of us jumped into the freezing river! It was 40 or 50º!

Roaring River Falls.

We had an awesome time and can’t wait to go again!

Editing

I’m working with some drastic edits. For the most part I leave my photos unedited because I love the natural look, but I’m starting to get hooked on these because I think it gives them an such artsy quality than just unedited photos. I will grant you they aren’t for everyone but I hope you enjoy!

Before:

After:

Nothing wrong with the original. Just something different.

Before:

After:

The original was a little dark and colorless. I like the yellowed stripes on the edited one. Makes it look old to me.

Before:

After:

Nothing much wrong with the original. A little dark, but otherwise fine.

Before:

I like both of these. The original has an old-looking quality to it.

After:

After:

The after really makes all the little droplets pop out, I think.

I like the brightness of the edited one.

So those are my edits… I’m sure I will do more in the future!

High School Camp

I got to go on a high school retreat with my church up at Big Bear Lake. We had a blast!

Here are some pics of the trip:

When we walked in the door, each of us was scared with this giant bear, by one of the leaders. (Chris)

After being scared by the bear, this is what we saw. We were all stunned by the size of the cabin!

We had some great food. Over the course of the weekend we had, spaghetti; pancakes, eggs, and bacon; chili and cornbread; carne asada; and the most delicious cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had!

That same night we arrived, we started to play Hide and Go Seek in the dark (at around 10:00) throughout the entire house! And this we played until 3:00 in the morning! And again the next night! I got about 8 hours of sleep that whole weekend. :)

I got to share the master suite with my friend Madison ;)

This is the little porch area in the backyard. (Complete with a hot tub.)

This is the snowman I built with Tim and Joe.

Most of us hiked up to the top of this hill. (Which is bigger than it looks) And there wasn’t a trail either. We were just climbing up rocks most of the way.

Group photo of all of us!

Our third and failed attempt at all of us jumping in the air.

And cracking up afterwards…

And finally, our fourth and almost perfect attempt.

I had such a great time, and I can’t wait to go on another one!

The Cutest!

This is probably the cutest little girl I’ve ever seen.

She has an adorable smile.

And the biggest dimples I have ever seen, in my life!
